Poster of Georgia Graces by Paul Colin

With Serge Lifar, this poster is one of the rare Art Deco dance posters by Paul Colin. It is for the dancer Georgia Graves.
Georgia Graves was trained by Ernest Belcher in Los Angeles. She quickly became one of the most famous dancers in the western world. This poster was created for her performance at the Folies-Bergère in 1928, during which she combined dance and acrobatics to create wildly exuberant routines. She frequently used giant balls, oversized fans and other large-scale props, creating a mid-burlesque and half-circus performance.
